Kiran Chetry’s time at CNN is coming to an end, say sources who claim the “American Morning” beauty was seen packing up her desk today. Chetry has told colleagues that she plans to leave the network at the end of the month, and Ali Velshi and Christine Romans will continue as interim anchors on the low-rated morning news show.

Guess all those pervs who insisted that her CNN show would crush FOX & Friends would make Murdoch et al. regret not firing Gretchen Carlson are furiously making up new rationalizations. Gretchen still reigns supreme in the morning cable wars, despite potshots from the peanut gallery. And, no Jake, Chetry is not coming back to Fox – unless it’s to share overnight headline duty with that other waste of space.

With Megyn Kelly out on maternity leave, Martha MacCallum was in England to cover the insipid behavior over there and Gretchen Carlson with time off and then to add to the coverage in London, Stalky’s beloved Ainsley Earhardt didn’t budge from the overnight desk.

What makes the Schadenfreude especially juicy is that Spurty had such high hopes for this last week or so.

Nope. She never was, and never will be (short of a plague wiping out the female population of the English-speaking world). The only reason she filled in at the end of the year was because the Village Idiot was off spawning. Otherwise, the gaping, cavernous grin of Courtney Friel usually fills the TV screen during the last week or so of the year.

 And the whining commences! No, it was not an insult to the women of Fox. It means that the women who are qualified weren’t available to fill in, so they went with the next best substitute. Or women from the local FOX5 station.

 Can’t you just see Spurty dabbing his eyes and wiping his nose on the sleeves of his ratty sweatshirt – the same one he wore  when he stalked the Airhead in person?

So, sit back and enjoy!

As for the second question, Ainsley definitely deserves better

No, the viewers deserve better.

Many of the weekday and weekend anchors are at least a decade older than Ainsley, so when the Gretchens, Alisyns, Marthas and Skinners move on, something should open up for Ainsley

Really? Despite someone repeatedly moving back Ainsley’s birth year, it appears from her high school graduation date that she was born in 1977, not 1980, which would make her 32. Gretchen Carlson is 11 years older, but she has had a far more accomplished career. Alisyn Camerota is 8 years older, and again, has had a significantly more impressive career. Martha MacCallum is 45 or 46 and going strong. Jane Skinner is a decade older than Ainsley, but also has a stellar career – one which involves her being younger than Ainsley when accomplishing more.

It’s funny, Spurty, that we don’t recall Shannon Bream (who at 39 looks younger, fresher, and classier than Ainsley) ever having to do overnight headlines at Fox News. Then again, she has far more impressive credentials and experience, including as a lawyer and then with a major network affiliate before going to Fox and becoming the network’s Supreme Court reporter – before getting her own weekend show and occasionally filling in for Bret Baier on “Special Report.” She hasn’t been at Fox as long as Ainsley has, but she has much better and more prestigious assignments. Why is that?

And then there’s 39-year-old Megyn Kelly, who according to Spurty, should be put out to pasture soon. Again, another accomplished lawyer with a certain special personality who never had to read overnight headlines at Fox, let alone for 3+ years. Instead, the elderly (according to the standards of Spurty and the other defectives at TVNC) Megyn had a 2-hour daily show created just for her…after co-anchoring another very popular daily 2-hour show, and during the election season an hour every weekday evening.

Maybe these women get where they’ve gotten because they have brains and skills (not to mention beauty), and don’t need to dress like strippers.

Oh, and we couldn’t let this one pass:

Her best friend at Fox is Courtney Friel

Really? Then why wasn’t she at the theme party (fake red carpet for all and a tiara on Courtney’s empty head) that Courtney threw for herself for her 30th birthday?

Note that Molly Henneberg is wearing business attire which covers both her shoulders and cleavage. She is also wearing a pretty, but not garish, color. While Molly is indeed a lovely blonde, she is not wearing cheesy extensions. In sum, Molly Henneberg looks like a very attractive and feminine professional, while Ainsley Earhardt looks ready to head to some tacky club in the Meatpacking District, where she’ll hope to meet some loud B&T dude who flashes cash like she flashes skin.

Laura Ingle is dressed a bit more casual than Molly Henneberg, but she still looks attractive and professional. Her arms are covered, and her skirt ends just above her knees. While she’s wearing stylish high heels, her toes are covered, where Ainsley Earhardt is wearing stripper shoes. She also has long, blondish hair, but no trashy extensions.

Then again, both Molly and Laura have impressive credentials and don’t need to get attention that way in order to succeed.

How sad and pitiful it must be to inhabit that head, not to mention the large, stinky sweatshirt.

Nice near-gynecological view, Ainsley. Real class move. You think going for that Sharon Stone effect will get her more airtime?
